Kydex Crafting 2: Vacuforming & Prototyping

Ashanti will be running through how to vacuform parts with a membrane vacuform. They will touch on form making and some prototyping processes in regards to investing in creating the form. They will present alternative methods for pulling parts over forms if one does not have access to a vacuform.

Ashanti will be using the following tools for this demonstration: 

• Toaster Oven (no food contact if using for kydex) 
• Respirator with 6000 cartridge (organic vapors)
• Membrane vacuform with vacuum pump
• Sheet metal shears
• Leather tooling press
• Awl with 3/16 thick body
• Plastic edge shaping tool
• Box cutter
• Nail clippers
