Evolution of the Medieval Sword, Kenneth Johansen

A journey into the Iron and Bronze Ages where we will understand ore mining and smelting, take a look at  swords of antiquity, and move into the swords of the Migration Era and Viking Age.  We will then move into Typologies, Medieval Swords, and the geometry in medieval life and sword design.  Finally we will see how this evolution has impacted sword designs as they are applied to fencing.
